Westfield has grown fast. New neighborhoods, expanded schools, the Grand Park Sports Campus, and a downtown that is filling out around US-31 and Park Street have changed what daily life looks like in northern Hamilton County. What has not changed is what residents look for in a healthcare provider: someone close to home, someone who plans the work, and someone who does what they say they will do.

Why Westfield Patients Choose SmileCentric

Westfield patients tend to come to us with two cosmetic concerns: a small set of front-tooth problems they have lived with for years (a chip, a discolored tooth, a gap that bothers them in photos), or a planned bigger change tied to a milestone like a wedding, a senior portrait, or a career move. Both of those conversations start the same way: with photos, a careful look at the teeth, and a digital smile preview that lets you see the result before any work is done.

The drive is short enough that we can sequence treatment without forcing every visit to be back-to-back. Many cosmetic patients prefer to spread visits across several weeks, and the close commute makes that easy.

Meet Dr. Louis Abukhalaf, Kois Center-Trained Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Louis Abukhalaf leads the cosmetic team. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry and biochemistry from Loyola University Chicago, graduating summa cum laude, and graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University School of Dentistry. His post-graduate training at the Kois Center, the program most often associated with advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry in the country, shapes how he plans every cosmetic case.

What that planning looks like in practice: every cosmetic case starts with photographs taken from multiple angles, intraoral scans for digital impressions, and a study of how your teeth show in your face when you speak and smile. The result is a treatment plan that fits the way your face actually moves, not a generic veneer template.

"A good veneer is invisible. If you can tell someone has had work done from across the room, the planning was the problem."

Our Cosmetic Dentistry Services

All cosmetic services are offered in our Carmel office. Brief summaries below; each service has a dedicated page if you want to read further.

Teeth Whitening

In-office whitening produces a meaningful change in one visit and is the right choice for a date or event on the calendar. Take-home trays use professional-grade gel for a more gradual result. Most Westfield patients start here before considering any further cosmetic work.

Porcelain Veneers

Custom porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth. Veneers correct color, shape, alignment, and small gaps in one cohesive plan. Every case starts with a digital smile preview so you see the new smile before any tooth is prepared.

Cosmetic Bonding

Tooth-colored composite resin sculpted directly on the tooth, usually in one visit. Bonding is the conservative answer for chips, small gaps, and uneven edges, and is the right starting point for many patients who think they need veneers but do not.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

Ceramic crowns rebuild a tooth that is cracked, worn, or weakened. Bridges replace missing teeth by anchoring to the teeth on either side. Both are made from materials that match natural enamel.

Smile Makeovers

A coordinated plan that combines whitening, bonding, veneers, crowns, and (when needed) implants into a single sequence. Useful for milestone events and for patients who want a full smile change instead of a single tooth fix.

Invisalign Clear Aligners

Clear, removable trays move your teeth into position without metal brackets. For cosmetic patients, Invisalign is often the first step before whitening or veneers, since well-aligned teeth produce better cosmetic results with less tooth reduction.

Where Are We?

Getting to Our Carmel Office From Westfield

What to Expect at Your Cosmetic Consultation

A first cosmetic visit takes about an hour. We discuss what you want to change about your smile, take digital photos and scans, and capture standard X-rays plus a 3D cone beam scan when the case requires it. You leave with a written treatment plan, a smile preview when applicable, a clear price, and a timeline. Nothing is committed to until you are satisfied with the plan.

Insurance, Financing, and New Patient Specials

We are in-network with major PPO insurance plans and file claims on your behalf. Cosmetic dentistry is rarely covered by insurance, and we are clear about that up front. The Membership Discount Plan provides preventive care plus a meaningful discount on cosmetic work for patients without insurance. Monthly financing is available.

Current new patient specials: $59 complete exam with X-rays, $49 healthy mouth cleaning, and a free dental implant consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the drive from Westfield to your office?

Most patients arrive in 12 to 15 minutes via US-31 south to 146th Street. Add a few minutes during morning and evening rush.

Can my whole family come in on the same day?

Yes. Family-block appointments are common, especially for Westfield patients with school-age kids. Ask the front desk to coordinate adjacent slots when you book.

I have a wedding, senior portraits, or another big event coming up. How early should I start cosmetic treatment?

For whitening, two weeks is usually enough. For bonding, four to six weeks gives time for a polish-and-adjust visit. For veneers or a smile makeover, plan on three to four months from consult to final seating, more for full-mouth cases.

Do you do same-day cosmetic treatment?

Whitening and bonding are often completed in a single visit. Veneers and crowns require two visits because the lab work is done off-site. We sequence the visits so you are not making more trips than necessary.
